WORLD TOURISM DAY - 2024

In a heartfelt celebration of World Tourism Day, Skål International Mumbai South embraced the theme of Peace Day. The event, held at the prestigious NCPA, was graced by the presence of Skål India Board President Sk Sanjeev Mehra and Director Young Skål Sk Raja Gopal Iyer.

The day commenced with a vibrant coloring and painting competition for children from the NGO Dona. The young artists showcased their talents by depicting tourist attractions from South American countries such as Argentina, Brazil, and Peru. This creative session was part of the Dr. Mukesh Batra Art Exhibition, adding a colorful touch to the event.

Following the art session, a meaningful discussion on various peace initiatives took place, focusing on how tourism can be a catalyst for promoting young talent. The highlight of the day was the formal launch of the Young Skål Program, marked by the induction of a new Young Skål Professional.

The event concluded with a powerful pledge to promote peace worldwide. All members and board representatives signed a Peace Board, symbolizing their commitment to fostering global harmony through tourism.
